I love an excuse to stop whatever I'm doing and create something new
(which may explain why I have so many WIPs, however as this was 01 block, I am glad to advise that I did finish it in one sitting!)
Here are my sketches and rule up
A heart theme was chosen (of course!)...
Testing the pattern and deciding on which fabric where...
Creating the pattern ...

the finished block design...
this pic looks a little gray, but it is green in real life

I am eager to see the finished quilt with all the finished blocks...it's still early days but when I have a picture to share, I will post it here.
That is just beautiful .. I don't think I need to say anything but that .. just beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteVery clever design and very pretty result (as always!)
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be stunning when It's done. What a gorgeous design.
ReplyDeleteYour block is beautiful. The criss cross fabric makes such a different effect by just appearing like a binding. It does show that you don't need sophisticated computer programs to create. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteUmmm WOW! I'm still stuck on the design process (???) I've been trying and my sketches now look pitiful! I would love to see more of that process and how you wrap your head around it. I've searched and searched.. NOTHING! The stitching Wonderful! So inspirational. I would love to be a birdie on your shoulder for a day or two, I know I would learn SO much!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Be sure and post a finished pic of the quilt if you can.
ReplyDeleteI love your design of the pattern, and the colors of the fabrics you chose!
