WOW = WIPs On Wednesdays
I've in the middle of one of those weeks. I haven't got anything useful done and am swamped with so many WOWs and To Do's that I decided I would share a little stopover my DH and I endured during a short trip we took out of state over the weekend.
Now, I should start these photos by mentioning that I am the kind of woman who wants everything booked before I go anywhere. My DH? Not so much. In fact, never. And this is precisely what can happen when you don't book before you go...
Four luxury beds...but how will madam choose?
Let's decide over tea
or maybe after a shower
we can share the 1x towel
be sure to put the sink plug back on it's purpose built mantle
we wouldnt want it to go missing...
Like all the tissues in the bolted down tissue holder above it have
VIP Sink Plug!
Then we can take in the artwork
whilst keeping an eye on the piggybacked electrical sockets
Before calling Good Taste Magazine...
Did you bring a phone line with you?
What's Your WOW ?
LOL, I'm sorry for laughing, I know it isn't funny at all but I can identify and it's always a lot funnier to think back on it than to actually endure it. I let my brother and his wife book our room for us when we all went to Disneyland. NEVER again will I do that. Let's just say that your room looks great compared to ours and the "shuttle to Disneyland" was really the city bus that stopped out on the curbside. Horrible. Loved that special sink plug shelf, how fancy!
ReplyDeleteLOL at your post. Your husband sounds a lot like mine, and I swear we have ended up staying in a room modeled after the one you stayed in. Especially love the artwork you got to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad we normally make plans - most times when we travel we are in a little motorhome - there have been a time or two that hubby picked out a campground that we were not familiar with and they went on the list to never stop at again!!
ReplyDelete4 beds in the hotel room - wow that is a first I have never seen that and the wires all over the place - bet that goes on your list of not to be repeated!

Instead of Bed and Breakfast you had Beds and Hot Water. Glad you saw the humor in your get-away weekend. Maybe next time your DH will have you choose!
ReplyDeleteOh I don't want to sound so dramatic, really it was very funny and we laughed from our seperate single beds. The funniest thing was that the kettle there was next to the toilet (I don't know why I didn't take THAT photo?!) so it seemed a ridiculous place to put a kettle and then the sink plug had its own shelf. It was so absurd!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh. I really appreciate reading your Blog. Glad you were able to see the humor. Too. I must say we have had a room or two like that. If it happens again I must remember to take pictures!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post! I don't let my husband book our rooms either if at all possible. This reminds me of a room we stayed in that was wrapped around the elevator. The room was so narrow that the nightstand was across the room from the bed. At least you had a towel. We had a hand towel and a washcloth that I wouldn't have used to clean the bathroom. Yech. But, we still laugh about it. That's the bottom line.
ReplyDeleteSounds like some of the adventures I had with my ex.
ReplyDeleteYour story made me laugh. When I saw the beds, I thought of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." But no, you had four beds... one too many. Oh but wait... the "artwork" makes sense... it's the family portrait... the bears now have a second child! Thanks for the smile.
ReplyDeleteThis was so funny poor you, but nice to get away.those beds look like you were in a dormitory. LOL.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my blog for a sneak peek ;)
