WOW = WIPs On Wednesdays
I feel like my feet are barely touching the ground at the moment! Luckily I have a list and schedule otherwise I'd completely lose track of what I need to do. I'm offline most of the time now and am only checking my emails every few days. Drastic steps for busy times!
Here I am working on my LE2 compass: I'be been working on various elements over the last few months (its all in the preparation) and now I'm just sewing it all down. I say 'just', but being a perfectionist means hundreds of hours and beautiful workmanship - otherwise, what's the point? My LE2 is an heirloom just as significant as my original LE and I know it will be in my family for generations, so every stitch matters to me, even with looming deadlines.
What's Your WOW ?
It looks glorious and alive in red!

Oh, Esther, I am in love with your red LE2 already! The care you put into each and every stitch is so worth it.
ReplyDeleteEsther, this is really very beautiful! Enjoy your day of hand sewing! :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Did you pre-wash all those red fabrics?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, every single last one!
DeleteIs there ANYTHING a red and white colour scheme can't do? I knew I would have to make LE in red and white because I am in love with that combination, and for my workshop I wanted to have some fun with the LE2 wall hanging (as I will still make 2 x LE's over the coming years) and red and white was such an easy choice. And I have such a huge stash to enjoy using up and of course, polka dots. Who doesn't love polka dots?
ReplyDeleteHow dramatic LE looks in Red and White, I'm sure your pile of quilts you have made over the last few years lean very much to Red and White. Mine do to LOL I do try every now and then to make a quilt that is more in to the taupe shades like my LE was to be!!!!! but when you see it it is at the other end of the scale LOL. But I love it and so enjoy working on it. Have fun and don't forget to take a coffee break every now and then Cheers Glenda
ReplyDeleteOh, Esther, it's beautiful. Your workmanship (or is it workwomanship?) looks perfect!
