Glad Tidings: Free Bed Quilt Pattern

Glad Tidings Bed Quilt (in Star or Dresden option)
Finished Quilt Size 80 x 80 inches
What do you think, the red or the green?
The Star or the Dresden?
I actually have plans to fussy cut and applique some fabric prints in the Dresden centres, but more on that tomorrow...

Glad Tidings also comes in a throw (58 x 58 inches) version which will be released tomorrow. And the following day I'll be releasing the Glad Tidings Table Runner (60 x 24 inches). Now you have the pattern, what about some festive fabrics? I've used 'Holiday Flourish' throughout my Glad Tidings range as you can see above, but nothing compares to how gorgeous they look in real life.
You can find these fabrics at Kimberly's Fabric Stash, why not stop by and browse her online store?

  3. Dear Esther Thank you once again for a lovely Xmas design, My choice would be the red and stars of Glad Tidings but thats my personal choice. Looking forward to seeing the print out of that centre rose I loved it as soon as I saw you drafting it. Cheers Glenda

    2. Sorry the the delay, Yahoo wouldn't accept it because the file was apparently too large so I had to split it, but I hadn't realized that Yahoo blocked it for a few hours.

I've uploaded much larger files so I can only imagine that the images increased the file size, I had to go back and compress it. Oh technology, how I wish it were all as easy as it looks on the adverts...

  6. How can one decide? I love them BOTH! The richness of the fabric colors and the overall design designs are great. I'm not good at Dresden (with the curves) and I'm not good at Stars either but I'm tempted to make both. Thank you so much!

    1. Oh I know! I'm definitely going to make both, the only question is...when?? Also, the stars are quite large, I think even a beginner can take them on at that size!

  8. I like the dresden. And with appliqued centers, yes, they should be spectacular.

I love the stars for a bed quilt and the dresden plate for a table runner in my dining room.

    1. I couldn't decide between them, so there had to be three, I really like the idea of a new quilt for December out on the bed. And red is so lively and warm at the same time, I can't wait to sleep beneath it!
