WOW = WIPs On Wednesday
Look what I found! I think it's about time to cover stencils again. The first time around, 7 years ago, when I had just started blogging, I covered this exciting technique and I got a lot emails from interested quilters who had no idea how rewarding it could be. Fast forward a few years and my blog has grown so much that I know some of you reading this post have no idea how passionate I am about stenciling as a traditional quilting technique. Yes, that's right, I said 'traditional'!
Well, I'm about to share it with you - stay tuned because this weekend I'll be stating my online tutorial guide to stenciling, and you don't want to miss it!
What's Your WOW?
I don't know what stenciling is, so I have to hang on to learn something here.
ReplyDeletebeautiful work!

Both these are so beautiful Esther. When do you sleep LOL
ReplyDeleteI have played around a little bit with stenciling. It was demoed in a class several years ago. Nothing this beautiful. I can't wait to see it. Thanks for all you do.
ReplyDeleteI've never stenciled on fabric, but I have painted on fabric. I've used fabric paint or acrylic paint with fabric medium added to it. I'm looking forward to your tutorial.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how the Stenciling translates into quilting yet, but I have been an avid collector of stencil designs for many years. I even have a nice collection of Ralph Lauren stencils from his Home Decorating collection that are no longer available...I would love to hear how you use them in your quilts.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw stenciling I didn't see much point to it as I had lots of patterned fabric to sew with. Run forward a few years .... now I do! So I'm very much looking forward to seeing your tutorial.
